Choose a small task
Pick one page to read, a short observation exercise or a question to work through. Keep the task clear enough that you know where to begin and when to stop.
Reduce the competing demands
Put away unrelated materials and silence optional notifications. If ten minutes feels too long, begin with a shorter period. The aim is to make room for attention, not to compete against a timer.
Reflect, then adjust
At the end, ask: what did I notice, and what distracted me? Use that answer to change one thing next time. This is an activity to explore, not a promise of a particular outcome.
