Start with something real

A mark can show how well we performed in one assessment. It cannot describe every skill we are developing. Asking a clear question, comparing two explanations or noticing a mistake are useful habits in their own right.

Try one small investigation

Choose an everyday question: why does a plant near the window lean towards the light? Write down what you notice before looking for an explanation. Then compare your idea with a reliable source. What changed in your understanding?

Explain it in your own words

Describe what you learned to someone else using a simple example. If you get stuck, that is a useful clue about what to explore next. Learning does not always need a score to have a purpose.
